| The Equinox The astrological new year begins when the Sun enters Aries on March 19. Otherwise known as the spring equinox in the Northern Hemisphere, this season's incoming effervescence titillates the senses and heralds the earth's renewal. Nature inspires us to follow suit. With a call to be courageous above all else, Aries Season urges us to discover who we are by taking on appropriate challenges that reveal our resilience and our creative brilliance. Saturn Enters Aquarius Days after the Equinox, one of the most important astrological events of the year occurs: Saturn enters Aquarius. For the first time in 3 decades, the planet of limits, boundaries, and hard work enters its (air-sign) home. The traditional ruler of Aquarius, here Saturn builds sound structures out of the most innovative ideas it can get ahold of. This transit will impact us in very personal ways, asking us to take the area of our chart that it enters more seriously. When we work with this planet, major transformations can occur. New Moon in Aries On March 24, the New Moon in Aries occurs, encouraging us to be bold when chasing our desires, and conjunct Chiron, it asks us to be courageous when confronting our wounds. Free from the last Mercury retrograde, and before the upcoming Venus retrograde, this New Moon gives us much more leeway to work with than the last. What we start now has a head start that was missing over the last month. Full Moon in Libra Two weeks later, on April 7, the Full Moon in Libra occurs. Squaring both Jupiter and Pluto, this lunation is one that has a monstrous appetite for connection. Urging us to work out our power dynamics and get real about our needs and the state of our partnerships, this Full Moon helps us heal the subterranean issues that have gotten in our way of intimacy in the past.
