Happy Holidays!

It's was sad to see Christmas end and the Durtschi's leave today. We had an awesome time with them here and were so glad to have spent our holiday with them.

The mountain of presents under the tree was almost embarrassing, but with girls this sweet how could we help ourselves?

Ella loved her retro pink kitchen and cooked up a storm. Rosabelle loved the exersaucer and her musical vanity and her other numerous presents.

Oh yeah, and the adults all got fun presents too. We got a few games and had lots of fun playing with Nae and Ben. Ben is the reigning Say What champ, but I am the Quiddler. DaNae remains our Guitar Hero, but Danny is planning some serious Wii training to lay the smack down next time we see them.

A highlight of the weekend for me was finally spending the spa gift certificate Danny gave me for my B-day and getting massages and facials with DaNae. It was so relaxing and It was nice to leave the kiddos in Daddy Day Care.

Then we heading off to the Happiest Place on Earth! We had so much fun at Disneyland. Ella loved Dumbo and the parade, she liked Nemo, but thought it was too loud. Danny and I took the girls home after dark and let DaNae and Ben stay so they could ride some rides since it was Ben's first Disneyland experience.

Ella and Rosabelle are the cutest cousin friends. If Ella didn't see Rosabelle she would walk around and ask "Where Rosabelle at?" and every time Rosabelle saw Ella she would light up and laugh.

But cuter than that was the budding bromance between Danny and Ben. Full disclosure, Ella is between them in this pic.

We hope everyone else enjoyed their Christmas. Happy New Year!

6 months and counting!

I can't believe it's been 6 months since we had Rosabelle. This has been the most amazing time in our lives. We are having so much fun with her and she just gets more and more awesome everyday. This last week we gave her rice cereal for the first time and she loves it! This girl is definitely going places...she hasn't started crawling yet, but I feel like she is so close. Right now she is doing a backward scoot and is all over the place.

In other news, we decided to do a little redecorating. We had moulding and floor boards put in and repainted the living and dining rooms. It looks fantastic and the house is feeling much more finished. Here's a before and after...Danny is playing some Wii tennis in both pics...practicing up for some Durtschi throw down!

Rosabelle is excited for Christmas. She loves our tree and is fascinated by all the lights and the presents. It is going to be so much fun having her first Christmas and we are really excited that DaNae, Ben and Ella are coming over to spend the holiday with us.

The Snuzzler in Winter

We had a fun time in Salt Lake City this weekend. Rosabelle had so much fun with her cousins (even Ella stealing her hat and especially playing with Britney) and seeing the snow for the first time. Having to do all that bundling, though, made me glad to be back in Cali where it is 70 degrees today.

Rosabelle loved all the Christmas lights so I am looking forward to getting our decorations up. I am currently quarantined to the bedroom because we are having the living room, dining room and hallway painted today. It already looks like a new place. So hopefully we'll be able to get our tree up tomorrow and I'll post some pics. Although, I do have one Christmas decoration up...Meg and I went to a wreath making class at the Arboretum yesterday and I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't that hard to do.

Congrats to Derek & Edon! We are so excited to meet our new nephew Jackson. We are also excited for Dianna and Gordon to welcome baby #4 next year! For those of you keeping track that makes 15 grand babies for G'ma and G'pa Davenport with #16 on the way.
