March 9

10:48 am PT Full Moon at 19° Virgo

Ruled by, and occurring on the same day as, Mercury's station direct, the Full Moon in Virgo wants us to get specific. Shedding light on what we've done right, what is out of order, and what is altogether misplaced, the Full Moon is a time to double down on the routines in our life that keep us on track.

An earth sign that doesn't amass material assets simply to quench an existential thirst, Virgo is far more interested in having only what it needs, what it can use, and using it effectively. Virgo wants only the tools that are necessary for its work.

The almighty.

Effort, skill, and the ability to perfect a practice that produces effective results is Virgo's daily devotion. To this sign, prosperity is only as good as it is practically useful. Health is the goal and getting the ingredients right is more important than how pleasing the final plate is to the palate. Virgo is the storehouse of grain that isn't necessarily fun to get in order, but a total delight to have when needed. Some might misidentify this trait as boring, but who do you think will have done their canning come the apocalypse? Virgo's nutritionally potent pellets are provisions to have in your back pocket at all times.

Sitting in opposition to the Sun/Neptune conjunction that happens the day before, this Full Moon comes at the end of a transit that can sometimes feel overwhelming. Like a digestive, the Full Moon helps us to organize the events, feelings, and hard-to-get-a-hold-of situations. An energetic cleanse is what is called for now. Trine Jupiter in Capricorn, this lunation is ready to work with us towards constructive expansion.

Put it to use.

In general, Full Moons magnify whatever is happening. With Mercury stationing direct during this one, extra emphasis is given to the course correction currently occurring. This astrology is akin to getting a signal after being out of range for a while. All of a sudden messages come through, files download, and DMs get left on read on purpose instead of just accidentally.

Mercury stations direct at 28° of Aquarius

Though Mercury started off and spent most of its time retrograde in Pisces, it ends in Aquarius. Clarity of mind is the main aim of Aquarius, and as Mercury stations direct here, information that was formerly obscured comes into focus. Mercury spends the next week in Aquarius before re-entering the mystical waters of Pisces, and as it does, it helps us to come up with solutions for what was feeling too unworkable to manage.

Mercury will be in its post-retrograde shadow until the evening of March 29th. This part of Mercury's cycle is more straightforward, but it's still a process of retracing our steps, piecing bits of data into the bigger picture, and knitting our lives back together after the disarray of the retrograde.

March 11

Sun in Pisces sextile Jupiter in Capricorn, both at 21°

An incredibly affirming astrological moment, the Sun's ruler, Jupiter, offers the best blessing that it can from where it currently is. With this transit we are encouraged to expand, shine, and boast a bit. The day has a generally confident vibe to work with, reminding us that the key to creating our own luck, in most cases, is our ability to believe we are worth it and that we are ready for it.

March 15

Mars in Capricorn sextile Neptune in Pisces, both at 18°

Sun in Pisces sextile Pluto in Capricorn, both at 24°

Mars and Neptune make an odd couple, but one that can promote inspired action. Here, Mars seeks out the ideal fight: one that needs to be had, and one that is aligned with a higher purpose, dream, or vision. The world is in great need of compassionate warriors, and today we are tasked with seeing where we can be one.

With Sun sextile Pluto, the day helps us to make contact with subterranean power sources. Inner wealth is made up of renewable resources. No effort to mine our own gold goes to waste. Reorient yourself towards yours and see the impact this makes.

March 16

Mercury (re)enters Pisces

Back to information-surfing we go. In these waters, Mercury is once again swimming upstream. With less direct conversations and more meandering pontifications, Mercury will be in Pisces and in its post-retrograde shadow until March 29th (it will then stay in Pisces, free of retroshade until April 10). Although better than when it's being backward, Mercury can now be more directly deceptive.

Aries & Aries Rising

Gathering information about the weakest link in your daily routine is incredibly empowering. Knowing what to delegate and what to keep on your plate can make all the difference. Organizing your workstreams is never a waste of energy and will end up saving so much of it right now.

The Full Moon wants you to study your work rituals.

You are being encouraged to pick up a book on efficiency, listen to podcasts about productivity, and learn about planning for success from those you consider masters - especially those that know it all needs to be balanced with downtime. Overscheduling yourself is an effective way to derail your best efforts, and is usually the result of avoiding a feeling. In order to outsmart your inner nemesis, you've got to be willing to witness, unpack, and work through your worry. Fantasies of failure are ghosts that, if you let them, will scare you into submission. Understand the difference between an illusion and a legitimate issue.

Mercury's station direct encourages you to make room for problems to sort themselves out. Worry less about the details and pay a little more attention to attuning yourself to the process. Issues that have been particularly evasive come into form. Friends have an important piece of information for you or are able to come to your aid, which will make solutions more obvious. Let your friends help you.

Taurus & Taurus Rising

Mercury's station direct helps you get your message across in public and on professional stages. Now that you can more effectively communicate what was too hard to get across, the Full Moon in Virgo demands that you be specific. Shining its light upon your creative energy, projects, and potential, it reminds you that there is no time like the present to clean out your art closet, learn a new technique, or fine-tune an instrument.

The Full Moon pulls focus on the parts of your creative work that bring you pleasure and the joy you get from being able to find the right creative fit for your skills. You need a solid mixture of both intentional and untamed uses of your energy. You need both a controlled application of your talent and the freedom to do what feels right. You need to be both prudent with your resources and wild with your wanting.

The Full Moon needs your howl.

You are romanced by someone's intelligence as much as any of their attributes. You are won over by thoughtful comments, and thorough investigations of your interests. Take note of who can come through with the right citation to stimulate your senses.

Be honest about your desires.

Notice what you are learning to communicate in intimate scenarios. Pay attention to what lovers or creative partnerships are teaching you about the difference between pleasing others and pursuing your own pleasure. Little in life is one-sided. The seeking of one thing often leads you to understand its opposite.

As you venture into the landscape of vulnerability and desire, you are bound to stumble across a little of your own refusal and denial. This is normal, and with Venus now back in Taurus, you have a much easier time healing past relationship patterns that may have kept you feeling isolated or unfulfilled.

Gemini & Gemini Rising

After a few weeks of muddied messages, communication issues start to come clean. Conversations that were cumbersome become more streamlined. Information that was mired in unnecessary data is able to escape fairly unscathed. What was hard to get a grasp of makes itself known.

Post-Mercury-retrograde wreckage, notice what has washed up on your shore. The castaway feelings that survive may have much more to offer than your usual melancholy moments. What you come to understand about yourself, your reactions, and your ways of working through a challenge will become the pearls of wisdom to take away with you. These lessons are felt on a deep level. Occurring in your 4th house of home, foundations, and family, the Full Moon is hungry for information about your needs and their origins. You may be struck with a desire to learn about your ancestry, your roots, and your lineages. Figuring out why you were taught what you were taught is a lifelong exercise in unraveling the motivations of your predecessors and yourself. This moment brings you a message about your underlying systems that helps you make sense of life. What works well needs a tune-up and what is rusty may need to be recycled.

Here, the Full Moon points to the wealth you inherently possess. Not because what you were born with or what you were given is immediately valuable, but because you were given exactly what you need to turn it into something priceless.

Cancer & Cancer Rising

The paths were recently washed out, soggy, muddy, and hard to trudge through have taught you important lessons about patience and staying the course, no matter the conditions. The pathways that felt less than straightforward, unusually confusing, or unreasonably challenging have taught you how to stay present with the problems at hand while keeping the big picture in your mind's eye. The stress you have been able to float above or put in perspective will serve you well going forward.

It's officially time to move on.

As Mercury stations direct on the Full Moon, your routes get unclogged and are more clearly lit. Traffic dies down. Floods subside. Roadways dry up and you get a chance to make some headway on projects that have been hard to get a hold of.

The Full Moon sheds light on recent triumphs and growth spurts that your communication projects have experienced. What comes to light are your skills and how you feel about them. Daily life is busy, but that doesn't mean that your interior experience needs to suffer. Practice the rituals that help you tie the outer events to your inner growth; they will give reaching your goals a depth of experience that outshines any award or accolade. The areas of your chart that deal with committed partnerships and long-term plans get many helpful boosts over the next week. Those that want to and can go the distance with you make themselves known. You've got unusually good road dogs by your side right now. Pack wisely and lightly and enjoy the speed with which you're now able to set out on the open road.

Leo & Leo Rising

Your money and all the ways you want to work with it comes into focus with March's Full Moon. You crave making an income while feeling useful, appreciated for your skills, and adored for your efforts. This week will highlight where that is happening, what you can do to facilitate more good feelings, and what aspects of your livelihood still need your thoughtfulness and clarity. The lessons you've learned about being inconsistent with money and/or within your relationships aren't to be shied away from. Shame won't help you find solutions to some of the more determined issues you are working out. Rejecting your desires, yourself, or the moment will only impede your ability to make the kind of impact you want to have. Give your entire experience permission to exist. Let your feelings about finances rise to the surface. Let your fears about being enough or getting it right come to consciousness. Take a good look at the details of your bank balances, where you spend money and why you do, and you'll get to the root of many a connective tissue that has ruptured in your committed and professional partnerships.

Virgo & Virgo Rising

Organizing your life is always a good idea, but under your own Full Moon, your powers of purification are next level. Like a Goddess renewing Her vows to Herself, this moment reminds you of why it's necessary to partake in rituals that realign you. Whatever practices help you feel renewed must be centered. Whatever your body is crying out for must be given. Whatever soothing your system needs must be taken seriously.

Clear the decks.

You want to invite over your guest of honor when the house is ready for them. Consider this Full Moon a generous queen who has come over to celebrate your efforts and amplify your recent wins. Prepare for this by setting everything up as thoughtfully as possible for its arrival. The actions that you take leading up to a Full Moon have extra potency. Because this one is so focused on you, be a giver of great support for your most important projects.

At the same time as the Full Moon, Mercury stations direct, helping you to smooth out the work issues that have gotten out of hand. Like your own cosmic PR machine, the events of the second week of March make clear what you are doing right at work, which communication issues still need adjustments, and what derails you from getting to the finish line.

Libra & Libra Rising

The Full Moon sheds light on the issues that keep you up at night. The good news is that most of your monsters are being exposed for their insignificance rather than for their permanence. In order for fear to flourish, it needs to remain in closed arenas. Air yourself out. Cleanse yourself of the need to quarantine your friends and trusted mentors from what you worry about. The more you talk to those who can help you keep your fears in perspective, the more you'll be able to cut these monsters down to size.

At the same time, the Full Moon gives your behind-the-scenes projects a boost. In general, you need ways of being able to comb through your fears, to clear away the psychic debris that dusts up your lens, and to organize your feelings so they don't overwhelm you. While Pisces Season has been heavily focused on your work projects and professional relationships, the Full Moon and Mercury's station direct focuses on your creative potency and ability to recoup energy lost to the retrograde cycle and all the confusion that came with it.

Scorpio & Scorpio Rising

The Full Moon sheds light on your social circles, group chats, and community gatherings. With an emphasis on the generativity that's present in your partnerships, the Full Moon points to how productive it is to center mutual pleasure. Joy is a natural byproduct of working with the right mix of people and this is a time where you get to experience the generativity that committing to these people can bring. Abundance is to be shared with those who appreciate the effort it takes to maintain it. Abundance grows with those who are willing to do the work to pass it on. Abundance is sustainable when we refuse to hoard it. Gather with those who know that personal glory pales in comparison to collective fortune.

As Mercury stations direct, it helps you feel a little more grounded in yourself and your life. Feeling at home is an elusive state, but one that, when visited, helps us remember how to return to it. There is something that you find, remember, or reconnect to mid-March that feels like a retrieval of self in some way. You aren't your past, but it always holds a key to the importance of this moment.

Sagittarius & Sagittarius Rising

Pisces Season has been especially good for unearthing your deeply embedded feelings, memories, and family dynamics. These last few weeks have made it impossible not to know the insides of your life more intimately. Not an entirely active time for many of you, this moment may have grounded you in ways that felt humbling. Being still or sedentary isn't comfortable for most people, let alone those with a sun or rising in Sagittarius. You were made to move, but moving inward is just as important as moving outward.

The Full Moon carries your work, your efforts, and your desires to the world stage. In direct opposition to the more contemplative journey on which you've been lately, the Full Moon celebrates you in the most public of ways. With it, you get to see what about your public and professional worlds is working well and producing work that is useful and healing. You need your career to contribute to solutions that make good sense and which refine the messages you most want to spread.

Capricorn & Capricorn Rising

The Full Moon feeds your need for thoughtful adventures. What you learn is as important as where you go. What you explore needs to unlock new worlds within you in order to hold your attention. Who you turn to for insight makes all the difference. No matter how far you have to travel, seeking out the wisest counsel available helps you better understand the landscape you are currently traversing. It's always worth the fare; pay full price to get the best advice. If you don't have folks whose opinions you trust, consider making finding a mentor a goal for 2020.

There is no getting through this life without help from a diverse group of people and this Full Moon reminds you of how important it is to know where to make pit stops to refuel, get good counsel and find a little comfort along the way.

Go on the journeys that help you stretch yourself.

As Mercury stations direct, you get confirmation, affirmation, or a green light on a financial matter. Work issues clear up, contracts come through, or agreements get a restart. Whatever the matter, you get to move on with it instead of just circling around the same old problem.

Aquarius & Aquarius Rising Horoscope

The truth always sets you free. With Mercury stationing direct in Aquarius, you have ample opportunity to bear witness to the things that you usually skim over. Pay attention to truths that you feel hesitant to acknowledge. Notice the secrets that feel familiar to keep. Watch the feelings that you tend to shove down. It's in the slightest movements that we practice denying ourselves. It's in the deftest of refusals that we betray ourselves. It's in the subtlest of subtweets that we devalue ourselves.

Notice the messages you are sending out.

Something becomes easier to say with Mercury's about-face. What rests at the tip of your tongue becomes restless. Spit it out. At the very least, get it out and onto the pages of your diary. The more you let yourself in on what is bubbling up under the surface, the more energy you'll recoup from letting this flow out instead of festering.

March's Full Moon highlights your collaborative successes and the trials that you internally go through to make them happen. The best partnerships will promote your strengths and inspire you to develop an even deeper relationship with your personal power. However you accept this process helps you make a greater success with it.

Pisces & Pisces Rising Horoscope

This Full Moon shines a light on all the commitments that have helped you to clarify your needs, direct your energy, and dismantle unhelpful narratives about yourself. Relationships built on mutual respect, shared values, and a dedication to learning about what it means to be in a healthy union shine bright in your night sky.

The Full Moon also wants you to clear out your relationship rubble. Cleanse your system of the poisons that are other people's unprocessed emotions. Purify your partnership dynamics. You are being reminded that you don't have to give the people in your life who don't play fair a free pass. Chances are you love a problematic person or two. This makes you human, but that doesn't mean they get access to all of you. Knowing when to separate someone out of your inner circle is lifesaving. Give yourself ample space to have compassion for others while not having to be on the frontlines of their bad behavior. You are not a saint and no one, including you, should ask you to be one.

Mercury stationing direct helps you to see more clearly something which pains you. When you are able to identify the nature of a sorrow there is far less suffering. Don't be afraid to get into the details of what brings you down; I promise you it will lighten your load in the end.
