On this campaign, we raise the resources we need by asking grassroots supporters like you to chip in what they can. That's it.
Elizabeth doesn't host exclusive fancy fundraisers for wealthy donors, and she doesn't take corporate PAC money or checks from federal lobbyists.
That means even as we're facing a fundraising gap before a huge FEC deadline, she's not turning to wealthy donors in high-rise penthouses or outside super PACs to save the day. She won't make a quick call to so-and-so with a spiffy suit to ask them to write a big check.
It certainly makes fundraising more challenging, but Elizabeth wouldn't want it any other way. Because she believes everyone should have equal access to a candidate's time — which is why she's taken over 100,000 selfies and spent zero minutes on the phone asking wealthy donors to bankroll our movement.
But that means hitting this important goal before tomorrow's deadline comes down to supporters like you chipping in to emails like this one. We're still pacing behind our goal, but if everyone reading this email can chip in right now, we'll be able to close the gap.
