Three under-the-radar Senate races where your donation would go a long way

I'd like to talk about three Democratic women I've endorsed who are running uphill races to flip Republican-held seats in the U.S. Senate: Marquita Bradshaw in Tennessee, Abby Broyles in my home state
Warren Democrats

Danielle,

Back when I was first thinking about running for the U.S. Senate, a lot of people told me that I didn't have a chance.

The Republican incumbent was popular and well-funded, and a woman had never won as Senator or Governor in Massachusetts before.

But I decided that even if I didn't win, it was still important to get in the fight — because every day I spent on the campaign trail could still make a difference.

I could talk about how the middle class was under attack. I could get a bunch of grassroots volunteers together who'd stay in the fight long after Election Day. And every time I met a young girl on the trail, I could tell her that I was running for Senate because that's what girls do.

We ran uphill. We built a grassroots movement that's still in the fight. And we won that race.

So today, I'd like to talk about three Democratic women I've endorsed who are running uphill races to flip Republican-held seats in the U.S. Senate: Marquita Bradshaw in Tennessee, Abby Broyles in my home state of Oklahoma, and Dr. Merav Ben-David in Wyoming.

They're running strong grassroots campaigns, mobilizing new networks of volunteers in a way that will make lasting change, and fighting from the heart for the bold reforms we need as a country.

These races haven't been in the national spotlight — so a little investment can go a long way to help expand the map for Democrats to take back the Senate, especially in these critical final weeks.

If you can, Danielle, will you split a contribution of $100 or whatever makes sense between Marquita Bradshaw, Abby Broyles, Dr. Merav Ben-David, and Warren Democrats? Your donation will help take back the Senate and help elect champions for working people across the country.

These three women are terrific candidates — and they'd make outstanding senators.

Dr. Merav Ben-David is an accomplished scientist, a brilliant teacher, and a fearless leader who will make Wyoming proud. As the danger of dismissing science becomes clearer and clearer each day, her experience and expertise will be an enormous asset in the Senate. That's why I'm proud to stand shoulder to shoulder with her in this fight.

Marquita Bradshaw is a lifelong community organizer and environmental justice advocate who understands the importance of people-powered politics and giving hard-working people a voice in Washington. During this time of crisis, the people of Tennessee deserve a leader like her who believes in science, facts, decency, and the urgent need to advance racial justice.

Abby Broyles and I have quite a bit in common. We are both born-and-raised Oklahoma women who put ourselves through law school and have fought for transparency. I know she'll carry that same determination and grit into the United States Senate where she'll stand up for what's right by fighting for health care — because when a rural hospital closes or coverage for pre-existing conditions is threatened, the health care of all Oklahomans is at risk. She'll work across the aisle to get the job done for all Oklahomans.

Here's the way I see it, Danielle, when I think about races like these: as Democrats, we don't get anywhere by only taking on fights that we know we're going to win. We take on tough fights because that is a measure of who we are. And with polls showing tight races in some unexpected places in 2020 — like South Carolina, Mississippi, and Texas — everything is on the table. But we don't get what we don't fight for.

By investing in these grassroots campaigns, you can help power the type of person-to-person organizing that makes long-term change possible across the country.

Please chip in if you can to support Marquita Bradshaw, Abby Broyles, Dr. Merav Ben-David, and Warren Democrats.

Thanks for being a part of this,

Elizabeth
