Danielle,
2020 is the most important election of our lives.
We need to win back the White House — but we can’t stop there. To put people first as we work through this crisis — and to make big, structural change in 2021 and beyond — we need to elect Democrats up and down the ballot.
So today, I’m proud to endorse 20 Democrats who will keep up the fight in state houses, Congress, and seats of power across the country — with more to come.
Shea Backus (NV HD-37)
Jennifer Brunner (OH, Supreme Court)
Carmen Yulín Cruz (PR-Gov)
Sharice Davids (KS-03)
Kara Eastman (NE-02)
Dr. Kayser Enneking (FL HD-21)
Abby Finkenauer (IA-01)
Sharon Hirsch (TX-66)
Regina Lewis-Ward (GA HD-109)
Christine Marsh (AZ SD-28)
Sarah McBride (DE SD-01)
Gina Ortiz Jones (TX-23)
Danielle Otten (PA HD-155)
Katie Porter (CA-45)
Gabby Salinas (TN HD-97)
Christy Smith (CA-25)
Lauren Underwood (IL-14)
Candace Valenzuela (TX-24)
Celeste Williams (AR-03)
Tricia Zunker (WI-07)
Some of them are running for re-election. Some of them are running to flip seats. And all of them are fighting to put power in the hands of the people. I’m honored to endorse these terrific candidates who are on the ballot this November, and I’m asking you to join me in fighting by their side.
If we all do our part this year, a new slate of leaders will take office next January. They’ll be a breath of fresh air and a burst of energy in the fight to make our economy, our government, and our democracy work for everyone, not just the rich and powerful.
And this November, statewide and state legislative elections will be especially critical as we recover from the coronavirus crisis in the short term and rebuild our economy in the long term.
Together, we can elect Democrats who support bold solutions, rather than temporary fixes and short-term deals — who will fight for bold reforms to get through this crisis, and who will address the root causes of how we got here.
Now, here’s something I’ve learned about how to make real change: It takes a grassroots movement fighting from the outside — and leaders fighting from the inside. Today, I’m endorsing leaders who know how to fight and win.
