Danielle, I’ve known Elizabeth for over 20 years — as her law student, as a researcher working alongside her to study why so many families were going bankrupt, and now as a colleague in Congress holding the Trump administration accountable and fighting for working people. Here’s what I know: Elizabeth’s a fighter. Right now, she’s leading the charge to put working people front and center as we recover from the coronavirus crisis and rebuild our country. But she doesn’t stop there. She is also fighting for progressive candidates in close races all across the country. I know because in 2018, I was one of them — and Elizabeth was there every step of the way to help my campaign flip my district blue for the first time in over 30 years. And this November’s election is no different — because Elizabeth knows that our best shot at leveling the playing field for working families is by winning the White House, taking back the Senate, protecting the House majority, and winning in state legislatures across the country in November.
