Bruce and I always like to have a quiet New Year's, so tonight, we'll keep up our tradition of rewatching Casablanca for the zillionth time.
Every time I watch it, Casablanca gives me hope.
It's a story about love, loyalty, and courage. It's about how people survive and how they flourish — even against all odds. And it's about hope young people on the threshold of building a new life, and old people looking for a safe landing place. At the edge of a big transformation — praying and fighting for a brighter dawn.
We can all use some more hope right now.

It will be a better year because so many people have fought so hard throughout 2020 and will continue to fight. So many people worked their tails off to help elect Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. So many doctors, nurses, scientists, teachers, food service workers, farm workers, custodians, truck drivers, and other essential workers fought back against this pandemic, gave us hope in the form of a vaccine, and kept our country going.
Danielle, I'm deeply grateful that you've helped power our movement to elect Democrats up and down the ballot, lay out plans for bold reform to put people first, and build a foundation for big, structural change.
We have a lot of work ahead of us in 2021, and I'm asking if you can chip in to help keep up the fight.
Two years ago today, we launched our presidential exploratory committee based on a few key pillars: Calling out what's broken, laying out plans to fix it, and building a grassroots movement — where everyone has an equal voice — to make change.
Today, we're still following those same values through Warren Democrats. We're still fighting to put political and economic power in the hands of the people — where it belongs.
And we're going to keep up the fight in 2021 and beyond.
