Today, Mars stations direct

Skulking through the night skies for months now, Mars has been retrograde since September 9th. As a bright evening star, Mars and its significations have become one of this year's greatest red flags to heed, consider, and stay alert to. Mars is abrasive, courageous, alarming, bold, inciting, aggravating, confident, heated, and action-oriented. When retrograde, Mars makes us review our leadership style, our relationship to our agency, and our ability to carve our way into the world.

The weeks of Mars retrograde offered us lessons on how to turn towards our anger. Fuel for our engines when worked with consciously, rage is a righteous reaction to injustice — it's just not a place where we can build a home. Tempers teach us what upsets us and why, when our boundaries have been crossed and how, what to demand and when.

The easiest, most dramatic emotion to get a crowd to feel, anger is the first stop on a dictator's train. Intoxicating, contagious, and inconceivably damaging when left unchecked, stoking the flames of hatred is page 1 of every autocrat's playbook. Death cults, like white supremacist patriarchy, mainline this iteration of Mars energy. Power-hungry populists will always stoke the fires of division. We have to be forever on guard for their cheap tricks, low blows, and hot air.

Mars stations direct on November 13th at 15° of Aries.

As it does, it pulls focus, photobombing the rest of the sky and our lives. The leaders of coups have no interest in morality. Seizures of power might seem unlikely when we are snuggled in our comforts, but that is the point. Innocence is no option under these omens. Thieves of civil rights have zero shame and we should have less than no doubt about it.

Mars will move slowly for the rest of November. As it stations direct you may feel a lack of energy. Burn out is about so much more than overworking. The psychic toll that supremacy takes is pricey.

Mars will be in its post retrograde shadow period until the first week of January, meaning a resolve to the issues we face now will take their time and our efforts to come about.

Take care.
