A Workshop for Eclipse Season, the Summer Solstice, and the Astrology of June 20 - July 19

NOW AVAILABLE FOR IMMEDIATE DOWNLOAD

The Solar Eclipse in Cancer arrives at 11:41 PM PT on June 20th (or at 2:41 AM on June 21st for those of you on ET). Now that we are well into eclipse season and all of the abrupt changes that it brings, this second of the three eclipses is the most impactful of all. Taking place on the Solstice, this rare confluence of events will help us leave our mark - but what that mark will be depends on our efforts. Cancer is a sign that initiates us into the emotional realm of life. It encourages our sensitivities and teaches us about the transformative power of care.

Happening at the sensitive 0° of Cancer, we are being collectively summoned to imagine what it means to create networks of care for ourselves and our collective. Sitting with the asteroid Vesta and Mercury Retrograde, this eclipse asks us to review our investments, defund what doesn't nourish the collective, and reinvest in what protects and cherishes the most vulnerable among us.

This "ring of fire" eclipse is the last in a series of eclipses in Cancer that began in July of 2019, putting the finishing touches on the issues that have been magnified in the part of our chart that contains Cancer.

This eclipse will be visible in the Central African Republic, Congo, Ethiopia, southern Pakistan, northern India, and China.

Venus stations direct on June 25th. Venus has been retrograde since May 12th, and as it stations direct in between eclipses, it's clear that this Venus Retrograde has created openings for major shifts in the ways we relate to each other. In this workshop, there will be a ritual and meditation to help you reflect on what this retrograde has meant for you personally.

The Penumbral Lunar Eclipse in Capricorn occurs on July 4th at 9:44 PM PT (July 5th at 12:44 AM ET). Visible in North America, South America, and Africa, this is a visually mild eclipse, but the final one in the eclipse series that began in January 2019. Closing out a cycle of eclipses on the Cancer/Capricorn axis, this eclipse sits opposite the Jupiter/Pluto conjunction, pulling focus on the beliefs and laws that are undergoing massive structural changes.

Mercury stations direct on July 12th. Scouring the bottom of the ocean for information, Mercury in Cancer has spent most of this cycle excavating deeply embedded emotions and encouraging conversations that help us get real about how we feel. With Venus and Mercury now direct, we get a momentary break from the faster planets moving backward. The relief is brief - by September, Mars stations retrograde.

This workshop includes:

  • A reading for your sign, explaining the significance of the solar eclipse in Cancer, the lunar eclipse in Capricorn, Venus and Mercury station direct;
  • A ritual for the solar eclipse in Cancer, the lunar eclipse in Capricorn, and Venus station direct;
  • Guided meditations for the solar eclipse in Cancer, the lunar eclipse in Capricorn, and Venus station direct;
  • Altar suggestions for the solar eclipse in Cancer, the lunar eclipse in Capricorn;
  • A detailed exploration of the astrology of the lunar cycle from June 20 - July 19
