Happy Thanksgiving, Danielle

Opening our homes and adding as many chairs as we can to the table is how we'll fuel our fight ahead

Danielle,

I hope that you're able to find comfort in this holiday season.

Spending time with the people we love, opening our homes and adding as many chairs as we can to the table, giving back to our communities in ways big and small, and finding moments of gratitude — these are the things that will fuel our fight ahead.

Today I'm grateful for everyone who fought hard this year to try to build an America of our best values.

For those who got out of their comfort zones, taking time out of their weekends to phonebank or drive to another state to knock on doors, and connected with strangers to talk about what this election meant.

For the supporters who took out their wallets and pitched in a donation to support a campaign they believed in — to stop Washington from only working for the rich and powerful.

For the people who had tough conversations with the people in their circles.

For the campaign staffers and volunteers who worked tirelessly — putting their personal lives and priorities on hold — to push for a system of good, effective government that helps people.

This all mattered, and will continue to matter as we move forward.

I'm grateful for the people of Massachusetts for putting their faith in me to be their Senator — and for making our Commonwealth the special place that it is for all of us.

I'm grateful for Bruce, Bailey, my family, and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.

I'm grateful for everyone on this team — you, Danielle — and our shared belief in dreaming big, fighting hard, and making big, structural change together.

Rest up, enjoy your food and time with family, and please, do something for your community this weekend. Make a Giving Tuesday gift to an organization close to your heart. Support small businesses as you do your holiday shopping. Research organizations to volunteer with this season and into the new year.

We'll talk soon. Have a happy Thanksgiving,

Elizabeth
