Do we really need a hedge fund guy in Congress?

Charles Koch's Super PAC launched $1 million's worth of ads supporting the most likely Republican nominee, a hedge fund millionaire.

Warren for Senate

Danielle,

Here are two quick updates on Pennsylvania's U.S. Senate race — which could very well decide control of the chamber, even though it's been flying under the radar:

  1. A few weeks ago, Charles Koch's Super PAC launched $1 million's worth of ads supporting the most likely Republican nominee, a hedge fund millionaire.
  2. Then a new poll found the race tightening between that hedge fund guy and Democratic Senator Bob Casey.

Now, this hedge fund guy doesn't live in the state he's running to represent. He appears to actually live in Connecticut. And as a fun bonus, his wife is on the board of ExxonMobil.

Democrats have got to hold onto every seat in order to protect our Senate majority — and that means we've got to do everything we can now to help Bob Casey compete and win.

Can you split a donation of $100 or any amount you can between Bob Casey and me? Working families deserve senators who fight for them in Congress. That's what he and I are going to continue to do.

I'm fired up to support Bob Casey for plenty of reasons, but here's just one: his fight against greedflation and shrinklation.

Are you noticing fewer Doritos in your chip bag, or less toilet paper on your roll recently? You aren't imagining it — big corporations really are making you pay the same amount (sometimes more) for less. Bob and I have a bill to fight this.

We just introduced a bill together, the Shrinkflation Prevention Act, that would allow the FTC and state attorneys general to crack down on corporations that try to deceive customers by reducing product size without a reduction in price.

This is just one reason to send Bob Casey back to the Senate: He looks out for working people, not giant corporations or hedge fund managers.

Even more so: if Republicans take back the Senate and win the White House, they'll be in a position to ban abortion nationwide. To repeal the Affordable Care Act (yeah, that's still on their wish list). To jam more right-wing extremists onto our federal courts. We can't let that happen.

So if it makes sense for your right now, please split a contribution between me and Bob Casey — so we can keep fighting side by side, and so we can hold onto our Senate majority.

Thanks for being a part of this,

Elizabeth
