| Danielle, I am grateful all the way down to my toes every time someone decides to donate any amount of money to this campaign. You know, the way I see it, if someone contributes $3, it's a leap of faith. They may know that if they're the only ones donating, their $3 won't go too far. It might only be a drop in a bucket against all the funding from national Republicans and powerful interests. But that donor knows in their bones that they are not alone. They know they're a part of a team — this team — of people across the country who believe that big, structural change is possible. It's how we've been able to get student debt cancellation onto the President's desk and started to make big freeloading corporations finally pay federal income taxes. Just this morning, someone from Florida made a $5 contribution, and someone else from Oklahoma made a $3 contribution. They did go out on a limb for what they believe in. And they are counting on people like you, Danielle, to match or exceed their contribution. To magnify their impact. To add up to a powerful grassroots movement and ensure universal child care, pass a wealth tax, and break up big monopolies overcharging consumers. If it makes sense for you right now, Danielle, will you meet them out on that limb and make a donation of any amount before tomorrow night's big FEC fundraising deadline? Every contribution — no matter the amount — will show the breadth and depth of this movement, and they will all add up to make real change. | If you've saved payment info with ActBlue Express, your donation will process automatically: | I'm not kidding myself: the other side has big heaps of money. Giant corporations hire armies of lobbyists to get their way in Washington, and corporate PACs write big campaign checks to elect candidates who ask "How high?" when CEOs say "Jump." But I'm fighting back against their model of business-as-usual. We're building a different model — where grassroots donors fund grassroots campaigns that elect candidates who put our government on the side of families, not just the rich and powerful. This is about who our government works for. In fact, it's about whether our democracy works, period. And it starts every time someone believes that better is possible, takes a leap of faith, and invests in something that will benefit everyone in our country. So what do you say, Danielle? Can you make a donation of $100 or any amount? Every contribution represents how when we link arms, we make each other stronger. Thanks for being a part of this, Elizabeth | | |
