Wisconsin has a well-earned reputation for razor-thin races — and next year's U.S. Senate election doesn't look like it will be an exception.

My friend and colleague Tammy Baldwin is up for re-election. She's one of the toughest fighters working families could ask for. And that's exactly why powerful interests and right-wing extremists are trying so hard to knock her out of the game. This month, the NRSC just confirmed that GOP megamillionaire — Eric Hovde — will run against her to flip Wisconsin red.

I'll just be blunt, Danielle: if Democrats lose this race, it's going to be nearly impossible to hold onto our Senate majority. You know what that means: either a GOP Senate that's all-obstruction-all-the-time against President Biden, or a GOP Senate that's greasing the skids for Donald Trump if he's back in the White House.

Listen, Eric Hovde is an anti-abortion extremist who supports a national abortion ban.

He is "totally opposed to abortion" and committed to passing his anti-abortion agenda at the federal level. His win would enable Republicans to pass a national abortion ban.

Last year in Wisconsin, Republicans spent a record $77 million to defend Ron Johnson, and they won that Senate race by just 1%.
