We're the richest country in the history of the planet. And still, families are struggling more and more each day while Republicans' rich donors boast about strong profit margins.

Here's what happens when Republican politicians win elections and get their way:
Warren for Senate

Danielle, Republicans love to say that they're the party of "family values" — the party that looks out for parents and kids.

Give me a break.

Democrats are the ones fighting for paid family leave; quality, affordable child care; strong public schools for every family; good-paying jobs that leave parents with time to see their kids; and a government that works for every family, not just the rich and powerful.

Meanwhile, here's what happens when Republican politicians win elections and get their way:

  • More people are forced to give birth because they can't access contraceptives or abortion care. They're disproportionately low-income. Disproportionately women of color. (And do Republicans have any plans to help those babies once they're born? With, say, child care? Nope.)
  • More parents are forced to ration groceries and watch their children go hungry.
  • More parents are forced to have hushed conversations at the kitchen table after they've put their kids to bed — conversations about how on earth they're going to make rent, pay the mortgage, or cover medical bills.
  • More parents — especially moms — are forced to give up their careers because child care costs more than their salary.
  • More parents are forced to make impossible choices between going to work that day so they can buy groceries or staying home so they can take care of a sick child.
  • More kids are forced to go to under-funded public schools, where some get cruelly punished for having little to no funds in their lunch accounts.
  • More teachers are forced to deal with red tape that stops them from teaching honest lessons about Black history, or from trying to create safe, welcoming classroom environments for LGBTQ+ students.
  • More working people and more retirees are forced to struggle to make ends meet and afford life-saving prescription drugs.

We're the richest country in the history of the planet. And still, families are struggling more and more each day while Republicans' rich donors boast about strong profit margins.

I'm not willing to accept any of this. I'm fighting my heart out to pass plans that actually help working families and fight back against the GOP's damage.

Danielle, will you pitch in $100 or anything you can to power this fight before July's midnight fundraising deadline tonight? I'm running for re-election to keep making big, structural change. But I can't do this without your support.

I never expect you to donate to every email, but I wanted to ask before our important monthly fundraising deadline tonight at midnight, in case a financial contribution would make sense for you right now.

Thanks for being a part of this,

Elizabeth

Three things the GOP has been up to lately

Instead of getting to work for the American people, Republican House members have been advancing their out-of-touch agenda
Warren for Senate

Danielle,

There are plenty of real issues where we need our government to take action. Like child care. And housing. And climate change.

But instead of getting to work for the American people, Republican House members have been advancing their out-of-touch agenda. Here are just a few of their recent big ideas:

  • Handing more tax breaks to giant corporations — just weeks after they tried to cut vital programs like Meals on Wheels in the name of "fiscal responsibility."
  • Making it illegal to get mifepristone — a medication used for one of the most common methods of abortion — in the mail, anywhere in the country.
  • Restricting the right to vote nationwide with the harshest anti-voting rights bill in decades.

I've got four words for them: Not on my watch.

I'm pushing back against MAGA Republicans to protect our basic freedoms and put our government on the side of working people, not just the rich and powerful. And I'm running for re-election to stay in the fight. But I can't do it alone.

If it makes sense for you right now, can you chip in $100 or any amount to power this re-election campaign, fight back against the GOP's extremist agenda, and make our government work for working people?

Side by side, we can hold the line against GOP extremism.

We'll fight to retake the House from the Republican wrecking-ball crew, protect and expand our Senate majority, and hold onto the White House.

But we won't stop there. We'll keep fighting to push our country forward and deliver the big, bold action that working families need — from universal child care to affordable housing to building on our progress against the climate crisis.

I'm running for re-election to get all this done — and much more. And I'm asking if you can make a donation to help strengthen our campaign and power this fight. Any amount makes a real difference.

Thanks for being a part of this,

Elizabeth

I just introduced a bipartisan bill to create a Digital Consumer Protection Commission. Read more:

Congress has been too slow, it lacks the tech expertise, and armies of Big Tech lobbyists have been able to pick off individual efforts easier than shooting fish in a barrel.
Warren for Senate

Danielle, it's a pattern we've seen over and over again throughout American history:

A big new industry rises up, and Congress creates a new federal agency to regulate it — to protect people from new harms while still preserving innovation.

In 1887, the Interstate Commerce Commission took on railroads.

In 1934, the Federal Communications Commission took on radio (and then television).

In 1975, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission took on nuclear power.

So here's the way I see it: it's time for a nimble, adaptable, new agency with expertise, resources, and authority to take on Big Tech. Congress has been too slow, it lacks the tech expertise, and armies of Big Tech lobbyists have been able to pick off individual efforts easier than shooting fish in a barrel.

So I just introduced a bipartisan bill to create a Digital Consumer Protection Commission. This independent regulator would keep an eye on the nation's biggest tech companies, like Meta, Google, and Amazon — to prevent online harm, promote free speech and competition, guard Americans' privacy and protect national security.

If you agree that Big Tech companies need proper oversight, add your name as a grassroots co-sponsor of the Digital Consumer Protection Commission Act — we're going to have to fight side by side to get this done and rein in giant tech companies.

ADD YOUR NAME

The digital revolution has given us amazing new opportunities, but it's come with a real dark side.

Giant digital platforms have created new ways to spread the sexual abuse and exploitation of children, human trafficking, drug trafficking, and bullying — while promoting eating disorders, addictive behaviors, and teen suicide.

A few Big Tech companies are stomping out potential new rivals with anti-competitive practices, including running the very platforms that they also operate on (looking at you, Google) (and you too, Amazon).

And Big Tech has vacuumed up our personal data, leaving it vulnerable to being stolen and usually leaving us in the dark about how it's being used.

Enough is enough. It's time to rein in Big Tech. Meaningful change is structural change — and that's what this new commission would deliver.

Danielle, do you agree our government must protect the freedom of the American people from the ever-changing whims of these powerful companies and their unaccountable CEOs? Add your name to say you support this bill — it's important to show this commission has strong support.

Thanks for being a part of this,

Elizabeth

A short note from me

We need leaders willing to fight for these ideas. That's how Democrats can win.
Warren for Senate

Danielle, I'm fighting to make sure special interests, corporations, and the rich and powerful stop taking advantage of working people.

My inspiration comes from the Americans who are demanding change and fighting for a better future for their families and communities.

People like the nurses, teachers, actors, writers, baristas, and retail workers striking for better working conditions. The organizers working to protect abortion access at the state level with ballot initiatives. The millions of young people worldwide demanding action on climate change to ensure the survival of our planet.

Their fights are my fights, and I'm working for the big, bold changes we need to see in this country. We need to pass a wealth tax to make the wealthy finally pay their fair share. We need to crack down on corporate profiteering and price gouging so that working families don't pay the price for their greed. We need to end the filibuster to ensure abortion rights across the country. We need to increase the minimum wage and make it easier to join a union.

And — importantly — we need leaders willing to fight for this. Democrats win when we go out there and unapologetically fight for the big, structural change we need — not just a tiny fix here and a small update there. We need to stand up to powerful special interests and advocate for real change for working people. I'm not afraid to fight for this — and your support helps ensure we can campaign for our plans and win.

So if — and only if — you're able, can you chip in whatever you can today to help power my re-election campaign and push this movement forward? Your support will make it possible to campaign for these plans and keep up our fight to put power in the hands of working people.

Thanks for being a part of this,

Elizabeth

Where things stand with Elizabeth’s re-election campaign

We wanted to give you an update on where things stand with Elizabeth's re-election campaign. We need to be prepared to run a competitive race no matter what.
Warren for Senate

Danielle, we wanted to give you an update on where things stand with Elizabeth's re-election campaign.

The truth is, we don't have a challenger in Massachusetts yet, but that could change any moment, and we need to be prepared to run a competitive race no matter what.

When she first ran for Senate, she started out 17 points down from the popular Republican incumbent who had truckfulls of campaign cash from Wall Street.

Massachusetts had never elected a woman to the U.S. Senate before — and a lot of people thought we still weren't ready to elect one in 2012.

But Elizabeth campaigned hard. She called out how our system is rigged for the wealthy and well-connected and against everyone else. And we won — by 7.5 points.

Since then, Elizabeth has been up against some powerful special interests trying to stop her and our movement: extremist Republicans, Big Pharma, Big Oil, and Big Banks who use their deep pockets to try to block change.

But we've been able to make positive changes, like passing a new tax on massive corporate profits, lowering the cost of hearing aids, getting student loan debt cancelation to President Biden's desk, pressuring Wells Fargo executives into resigning after their fake accounts scandal, and much more.

Elizabeth is running for re-election because there's a lot more we've got to do to make our government work for everyone in Massachusetts and across the country, not just the wealthy and well-connected. And no matter what happens next in this race, she needs your support in order to campaign for our plans and keep up this fight.

We won before because we built a grassroots movement, and that's how we'll keep up the fight for big, structural change. Will you pitch in $100 or anything you can to re-elect Elizabeth Warren, help compete against any potential challenger, and keep her fighting in the Senate?

Turning 12 years old

Happy Birthday, CFPB!
Warren for Senate

Danielle,

I have today's date (July 21, in case you're losing track of the year) circled on my calendar almost as many times as my wedding anniversary and my grandkids' birthdays.

That's because, 13 years ago today, President Obama signed Wall Street reform into law — including the Consumer Financial Protection (CFPB). And 12 years ago today, the CFPB opened its doors.

It was a huge, hard-fought victory for working people all across this country, and it was David against Goliath the whole way.

I had dedicated my career to studying why families go broke and fighting to rebuild the middle class. After Wall Street crashed our economy in 2008, I fought to create the CFPB to protect people from getting scammed by big banks and corporations.

Of course, the giant financial institutions were dead set against an agency whose job was to get the tricks and traps out of the fine print of financial products. They spent millions lobbying against financial reform and the new consumer agency.

But we got organized.

Labor unions like the AFL-CIO and SEIU joined our fight to protect working people. Civil rights organizations like the NAACP and National Council for La Raza jumped in (Black and Latino families had been targeted with some of the very worst subprime mortgages). And groups like the AARP and Consumers Union said this was their fight, too.

We came together, we built a grassroots campaign, and we won. David beat Goliath.

A photo of Elizabeth Warren with President Obama

Here I am with President Obama on this day in 2010, when he signed Wall Street reform into law — including a little agency called the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. It was an honor to fight by his side, and I'll always look back on that day with a big smile on my face.

Since then, the CFPB has been The Little Agency That Could. Forcing financial institutions to return $17 billion directly to the people they cheated. Issuing $4 billion in penalties against scammers. Cracking down on junk fees — like excessive credit card late fees and overdraft fees. Withstanding attack after attack after attack from big banks, payday lenders, and their buddies in Washington.

Republicans and powerful special interests will keep trying to tear down the CFPB, with efforts like the ridiculous lawsuit in front of the Supreme Court this fall.

But we'll keep fighting back — and persisting.

If you're able to, will you celebrate the CFPB's birthday by pitching in $100 or any amount? You'll support our re-election campaign, and you'll help grow our movement so we can keep making real change that puts power in the hands of consumers and working people.

The CFPB shows us that it IS possible to put our government on the side of the people. And that's a righteous fight. Thank you for being a part of it.

-Elizabeth

If you’re in a place where you can make a donation right now, please chip in $100 or any amount that makes sense for you

This is how we helped defy history and how we'll build a country that works for everyone.
Warren for Senate

Danielle,

Elizabeth is keeping up the fight in Washington — to root out corruption, defend our democracy, and rebuild the middle class.

But she can't do it alone. We fight by her side. And grassroots donors are at the heart of our movement, so we have to ask:

If you're in a place where you can make a donation right now — and if you're proud to help keep Elizabeth in the ring, fighting for working families — please chip in $100 or any amount that makes sense for you.

Every action you've taken adds up, from signing a petition or sharing an illuminating article on social media to knocking on some doors or pitching in a few bucks.

It's how we helped build the Congressional majorities — and the grassroots momentum — behind the historic progress we made in the first two years of the Biden-Harris administration:

  • The biggest-ever federal investment in fighting the climate crisis
  • The first time allowing Medicare to negotiate for lower prescription drugs
  • A first-of-its-kind crackdown on freeloading corporations to make sure they pay taxes on massive profits, and much more.

It's how we helped defy history, stopped the so-called "red wave," and even expanded our Democratic Senate majority in 2022.

And it's how we're going to build a country that works for everyone, not just the wealthy and well-connected.

But it starts with growing our grassroots movement, so we're asking:

Can you make a donation today? Your contribution will help keep Elizabeth in the fight and make the big, bold change we need as a nation.

Thanks for everything,

Team Warren
