Q3 numbers & small-dollar donor efforts

Donors like you are stepping up  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌

The election is quickly approaching, and small-dollar donors are stepping up.

2.6 million unique donors gave over 14 million contributions, totaling $646 million to campaigns, committees, and organizations.

When Senate Republicans introduced a bill to enact a nationwide abortion ban, small-dollar donors made a stand, making September 14th and 15th two of the largest days this quarter for small-dollar contributions. Donors are well aware that important issues, including voting rights, abortion access, LGBTQIA2S+ rights, and more are on the ballot in November, and they’re taking action.

The Q3 numbers below show that the small-dollar donor community is ready to help Democrats win in November and people like you are supporting the causes and candidates that matter to the future of our country.

  • More campaigns and organizations used ActBlue to fundraise and connect with small-dollar donors in Q3 than in any previous quarter.
  • Supporters gave over three times the contributions and dollars to in-cycle Democratic secretary of state candidates.
  • Candidates for U.S. Senate raised more than double the number of contributions compared to this same period in the last midterm cycle in 2018.
  • 1 in 2 donors gave to a state or local candidate or group, or to a nonprofit.
  • Small-dollar donors doubled the amount raised for gubernatorial candidates compared to the same period in 2018.

These numbers show the small-dollar donor power behind the upcoming election. From local candidates to issues like voting rights and abortion access, small-dollar donors like you are uplifting the causes and candidates that will drive change come November.

Thanks,
The Team at ActBlue
