What I asked the Wall Street CEOs today:

And I know that you're in this fight by my side because grassroots donors like you power our campaign and grow our movement.
Warren Democrats

Danielle,

Days like today remind me how grateful I am that you're in this fight by my side.

In the Senate Banking committee, we questioned the CEOs of some of the biggest financial institutions in America. Think JP Morgan, Wells Fargo, and Bank of America.

They got all kinds of help from federal regulators when the pandemic started—including waiving overdraft fees. So I asked those CEOs if they had passed that help along to their struggling customers. Of course, the answer was a big fat no. The big banks cared more about padding their profits than helping families in the middle of a crisis.

For a long time, Wall Street CEOs didn't face tough questions. They got to write their own rules in Washington. Congress worked for giant financial institutions, not the working people who were getting caught in the big banks' traps.

I get to fight to hold these ultra-rich CEOs accountable because I don't work for them. I work for the the people. And I know that you're in this fight by my side because grassroots donors like you power our campaign and grow our movement.

Our next monthly fundraising deadline is coming up this Monday. If you're able to, please chip in $15 or whatever makes sense right now to help hit our goal and make sure we can keep up the fight.

Danielle, side by side, we've built a movement to make our government work for everyone, not just the rich and powerful. We've launched the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. We've unseated one of Wall Street's favorite senators. We've laid out big plans to root out corruption and level the playing field.

I'm still fighting for big, structural change like canceling student debt. Ensuring universal child care and early learning. Making sure the wealthy pay their fair share with a wealth tax and a Real Corporate Profits Tax.

At the same time, we've got to work on protecting and expanding our narrow Democratic majorities in Congress. So Warren Democrats will keep on fighting to elect candidates up and down the ballot who fight for working people.

You don't get what you don't fight for. And I am in this fight all the way.

If you can, will you make a donation today to help power this fight? Monday is our big end-of-month fundraising deadline — and your support would go a long way to help hit this goal.

Thanks for being a part of this,

Elizabeth
