Next January, our to-do list is going to be a mile long — as long as we do everything we can to win big this November.
When Democrats take back control in Washington, we'll need to fight hard to undo the Trump administration's disastrous policies, clean corruption out of government, and put power in the hands of the people, where it belongs.
To get it done, we'll need strong fighters in the U.S. House — so today, I'm asking if you can pitch in to help elect four Democratic House candidates who will make us proud: Christina Hale in Indiana's 5th District, Cameron Webb in the Virginia 5th, Desiree Tims in the Ohio 10th, and Beth Doglio in Washington state's 10th.
Three of them are running to expand our majority by flipping Republican-held seats, and all four of them are committed to putting Washington on the side of working people.
I'm very glad to be shoulder to shoulder with Christina Hale, Cameron Webb, Desiree Tims, and Beth Doglio in this fight and all the fights to come.
Christina Hale is a lifelong Hoosier running for Congress in the heart of Mike Pence country. She understands the challenges facing 5th District Hoosiers because she faced many of the same struggles as a young single mom. As a nonprofit leader and member of the Indiana General Assembly, she earned a reputation for getting things done for families and children. She'll continue working to solve problems for her community when she gets to Congress.
And as a practicing physician and former health care policy advisor in the Obama administration, Dr. Cameron Webb has the expertise and experience needed to tackle our health care crisis and meet the coronavirus epidemic head on. Now more than ever, we need strong voices for equity and justice in Washington, and that is why I'm proud to stand shoulder to shoulder with Cameron.
Desiree Tims understands the importance of creating a government that works for everyone, not just the wealthy and well-connected. She will be a compassionate leader in Congress who will fight for quality jobs, education, and health care. At a time when families in her community are struggling, she has proven she can provide bold leadership so every family can access opportunity.
And Beth Doglio has proven herself to be a champion for the needs of working people in Washington state. From taking on special interests in the coal, oil, and the chemical industries to standing up to the wealthy and well-connected, she is a fighter who knows how to win. During this unprecedented time of crisis, working families need proven progressive leaders like Beth in Congress to call out corruption and stand up for the people.
From Washington state to Ohio to Indiana and Virginia, Beth, Desiree, Christina, and Cameron are fighting their hearts out so they can get to Washington and get to work.
