Moon over Mar Vista

Halloween was so much fun this year! This is the first year Rosabelle has been into it and we did a ton of fun Halloween stuff all month and then killed it this weekend. Mom and Dad were in town on Saturday on their way to San Diego and wanted a preview of the kid's costumes so we went to the carnival at the elementary school. This girl loves to get her face painted. She was talking for weeks about how dad was gonna paint her face like a ballerina clown. And she may or may not be traumatized for life by her first haunted house.

On Halloween morning the kids dressed in their daytime costumes and we went to the farmers market.

Here is Rosabelle's inspiration for her costume, "The Venice Ballerina Clown". It was a huge hit. And we knew that we had moved in a kinda Halloweeny neighborhood, and that people really get into it, but we had no idea. I have never seen so many trick or treaters. I would open the door and there would be 30 kids there. We had to turn out the porch light just so we could finish getting ready and then the streets were mobbed with kids.

Rosabelle had the time of her life trick or treating, she couldn't believe that all these people were just giving her candy and telling her how cute she was. Best day ever.

RBJ's costume turned out great. I like how Danny checks the candy for razor-blades and acid. Very 1980's.

Cute!! I can't believe that RBJ will sit there for so long getting her face painted. Grace can't sit still for that long. Way to crush Halloween!
