Roy Cooper

Here's why we need to win this seat.

Danielle,

It's easy to feel defeated these days with the policies coming out of Washington nearly every day.

Pickpocketing the middle class to put even more money in billionaires' pockets. Cutting critical jobs at agencies that keep our country running. Destroying cornerstones of the middle class like Social Security, Medicaid, and public education.

You and I know there's another path. But it's going to require fighting back, and taking back our Senate majority.

Just today, Roy Cooper announced he's running for Senate in North Carolina — in what will be a highly competitive race. Under his leadership as governor, Roy passed pay raises for public school teachers, built a strong economy by investing in clean energy and in North Carolinians, and expanded Medicaid — covering more than 650,000 more people.

Put simply: He's the kind of leader working families need in Washington right now.

North Carolina will be a must-win state for Democrats. So will you split a donation today between our campaign and Roy Cooper's to ensure his campaign launches with the strongest support possible? Your support will fuel our fight to take back our Senate majority in 2026.

If you've saved payment info with ActBlue Express, your donation will process automatically:

North Carolina's Senate election is set to be the most competitive of 2026, with The Hill rating this the most likely Senate seat to flip red-to-blue. Winning this seat is essential to our chances of taking back the Senate.

But that means Republicans are ready to do everything possible to stop Democrats from winning this state, with Donald Trump already handpicking RNC Chair Michael Whatley to run against him.

Roy Cooper is someone who'll fight to defend Medicaid, secure voting rights, invest in job growth, restore abortion access, and protect our environment. It's past time we have a Senate that works to create prosperity for every American — and that's why this Senate race is so critical.

Help Roy Cooper's campaign start off strong and flip North Carolina's Senate seat in 2026. If you can, please split a donation today to support Roy's campaign and ours.

Thanks for being a part of this,

Elizabeth

Sure...

All of us have to speak up and show Trump that we see his march toward authoritarianism and we will not be silenced.

Danielle,

The Trump administration just approved Paramount's $8 billion merger with Skydance. This looks like bribery and corruption, and I'll tell you why.

Let's rewind to 2024 when Trump sued CBS. At the time, CBS called this "meritless." Three months later, Trump became president. And instead of fighting the case, CBS's parent company, Paramount, settled the lawsuit.

Right out in public, they handed $16 million directly into some future Trump presidential library.

Why would Paramount fold when it looked like they were going to win this case? This merger was in talks at the time. And who needed to approve that deal for it to go through? Donald Trump's government.

This fishy settlement was what Colbert called out on The Late Show last week. Then his show was coincidentally canceled three days later. They said this was a "purely financial decision." Sure…

I've been investigating Paramount's potential corruption for months. Now that this deal has gone through, I'm calling for an urgent, independent investigation into any criminal behavior.

Every single one of us needs to show Trump and CEOs that we see what they are doing here, and we will not be silenced. Add your name if you're with me, and believe that the American people deserve answers and accountability.

ADD YOUR NAME

This deal lets every other billionaire and company know that Trump is open for business — apparently happy to accept offers in exchange for favors. On top of that, this deal is bad for competition and could make it more expensive for you to stream your favorite TV show.

The Paramount payoff is part of a corrupt pattern of Trump exploiting the power of the presidency both to profit personally and to punish his perceived enemies.

ABC News handed over $15 million to Trump's library in a settlement, Meta dumped $22 million into the library to settle a lawsuit — and now Trump is running the same play again, suing the Wall Street Journal over an article that exposed details about his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein.

The billionaires who run these major media companies may decide that it is in their own financial interests to ease up on criticism of Trump, but if they do so, they forfeit the critical role that the media has played in our democracy. This is deeply concerning. And they owe the American public frank answers.

I'm fighting back by introducing my Presidential Library Anti-Corruption Act, which would bar sitting presidents from accepting donations to their presidential libraries. I'm demanding transparency into the Paramount-Skydance merger and conducting oversight into what happened here. And I won't let up on raising the alarm when we see what looks like bribery in plain sight.

Democrats need to embrace the fight against corruption as a top priority. Republicans need to grow a spine and get behind common-sense anti-corruption measures. All of us must speak up on this. Every threat, use of intimidation, and potential bribe undermines our democracy as it moves Trump closer to absolute control.

Add your name to demand answers on what looks like Paramount buying the president's favor in what's just the latest example of Trump suppressing speech, abusing his power, and enriching himself.

Thanks for being a part of this,

Elizabeth

Danielle,

This week, I introduced my Presidential Library Anti-Corruption Act. This plan would ban companies and governments from donating unrestricted funds to the presidential libraries of sitting presidents.

There's something else that happened this week that highlighted the implications of these types of donations, and I want to talk about it.

It was just announced that CBS has canceled "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" starting next year. This announcement comes just three days after Colbert called out CBS parent company Paramount for an over $16 million settlement with Trump — a deal that looks like bribery.

This $16 million settlement funneled to a future presidential library is what my anti-corruption bill would prevent if it becomes the law.

You see, this all started when the Trump administration sued CBS, which is owned by Paramount, over a "60 Minutes" interview Trump claimed was deceptively edited.

This was a suit that many experts called "baseless." CBS even said it was "meritless."

It just so happens that, at the same time, Paramount is waiting on approval from the Trump administration for a multi-billion-dollar merger with Skydance. Maybe they'll get the approval, and maybe they won't, and there are a lot of factors that go into that.

Ultimately, Paramount decided to opt for a bogus settlement worth $16 million, with the money funneling straight into Trump's future library.

That looks like bribery right out in the open to a lot of people — including Stephen Colbert.

America deserves to know if his show was canceled for political reasons. And we need to pass my Presidential Library Anti-Corruption Act to put an end to these types of donations.

This settlement sends a terrible signal. It tells everyone who has business pending in front of the federal government that if they've got enough money and can funnel it to Donald Trump through his future presidential library, they might receive better treatment from the U.S. government.

That's wrong, and we need to put a stop to it now. I won't stop fighting to put these common-sense safeguards in place and get corruption out of our government.

Thanks for being a part of this,

Elizabeth

A new project from me

Danielle, our political system is rigged right now.

We have more people in power who would rather kiss Donald Trump's ring than do anything meaningful for the people they represent.

Republicans in Congress would rather fight for a corporation's bottom line than fight for a person's livable wage.

Billionaires pour loads of money into races to get a return on investment: bigger tax giveaways and even more power to rig the economy in their favor.

And just recently, 269 Republicans in Congress voted for a bill that takes meals away from hungry children and seniors, strips health care from millions, and marks the largest transfer of wealth from the poor to the rich in our history. They smiled, clapped, and cheered when it was signed into law.

Something has to change. But we can't just hope for it. We have to fight for it.

So today, I'm announcing a new project: Fight PAC.

This organization will support, uplift, and help elect fighters for the working class to Congress. I want to share more about it below, but if you're in the position to make a contribution right now to support Fight PAC and our campaign, you'll help demonstrate the strong grassroots support for this kind of movement.

If you've saved payment info with ActBlue Express, your donation will process automatically:

This is about electing leaders who understand what it really means to fight for working families.

It means taking a stand when it's hard, and speaking truth to power.

It means refusing corporate PAC checks — even when it would be easier to take them.

It means unapologetically proposing bold economic reforms — not just small measures that nibble around the edges.

Democrats have the chance to take back the House and Senate in November 2026 and I will do everything possible to make that happen. We know that Democrats win when we go out there and fight for the big, structural changes that will make our government and our economy work for working people.

We also know that Democrats need our majorities to be filled with fighters who want to pass plans that truly transform the lives of working people in this country.

Contributions to Fight PAC will support candidates who are doing just that.

If you believe it's time to stop begging billionaires and corrupt Republicans to start fighting for working people, then please join us today by splitting a contribution between Fight PAC and our campaign.

Thanks for being a part of this,

Elizabeth
