Danielle, let me first just say: WOOO HOOO!

Last night in Minnesota, Peggy Flanagan won her primary election for U.S Senate.

I am so happy for Peggy, for the people of Minnesota — and for all of us. Her win proved that Big Money doesn't always win. You can be outspent a zillion to 1, but when you fight for the people instead of special interests, that's what wins.

Peggy’s win last night. Abdul’s win last week. The momentum and excitement we’re feeling right now. It’s important that we celebrate these moments and what they mean for America.

But we can’t slow down now, Danielle.

Because Republicans and their billionaire allies are going to do everything they can to prove that elections can still be bought. They’ll pour money into these races, flood the airwaves with attacks, and do everything they can to protect a status quo that works just fine for the wealthy and well-connected.

We have to show them that the many can beat the money.

And there is just so much at stake:

If Democrats win back our majorities in November, we can stop Congressional Republicans from enabling the president to do whatever he wants. We can block any far-right, extremist judge that Trump nominates to the Supreme Court. And, critically, we can use those majorities to actually pass policies that you will feel in your day-to-day life.

So right now it's more important than ever that we keep building strength within this grassroots movement.
