Re: the ballroom

No backroom deals. No secret favors. No exceptions.

Danielle, in case you've been wondering: Yes, Donald Trump is still tearing up the White House to build himself a gold-encrusted ballroom.

Despite the fact that a federal judge has already found that Trump likely doesn't have the legal authority to do this. His construction crew continues digging, demolishing, and pouring concrete while the courts sort it out.

And don’t forget, Danielle, Republicans tried to slip $1 billion in taxpayer money into an ICE funding bill to cover costs tied to this ballroom for Trump to wine and dine his donors. Luckily, that proposal failed (sorry, Donald).

But the whole thing raises an obvious question: Who is really paying for Trump's vanity project?

I've launched an investigation into the contracting and approval process behind Trump's ballroom — and whether the corporate donors funding this project are expecting favors from the administration in return.

Will you add your name today to support this investigation? We need to show that the American people demand answers about who's paying for this project, who's benefiting from it, and whether powerful interests are getting special treatment behind closed doors.

ADD YOUR NAME

What we do know is that Donald Trump has wined and dined corporate executives from Meta, Comcast, Microsoft, Palantir, Lockheed Martin, Amazon, and Google (just to name a few) to try and solicit donations.

And we also know that many of those corporations donating to Trump’s ballroom are regulated by federal agencies, seeking regulatory approvals, or are currently under investigation by the Department of Justice. I’m sure I don’t need to tell you that this raises serious ethical concerns over any backroom deals and special favors being offered in exchange for donations.

That alone is enough to make your blood boil. But the thing that really makes me so furious about this whole little turducken of corruption, greed, and political overreach?

It’s that working families are worried about paying for groceries. People are losing their health care. But somehow, Donald Trump always finds time — and money — for his vanity projects.

Instead of lowering health care costs, he's building himself a ballroom.

Instead of helping families make ends meet, he's courting wealthy donors.

Instead of restoring trust in government, he's raising even more questions about who gets access and who's calling the shots.

The American people deserve transparency. They deserve accountability. And they deserve a government that works for them — not for Donald Trump's ego.

We need to investigate any potential corruption surrounding the construction of this ballroom and the source of the donations funding it. Please add your name to join me in demanding answers.

Thanks for being a part of this,

Elizabeth
