Danielle,

Social Security is a promise. You work. You pay into the system. And when you retire, you should be able to count on the benefits you’ve earned.

But that promise is at risk of being broken.

The Social Security trustees just released a report projecting that the retirement trust fund — the fund that you have paid into, Danielle — will run out of reserves in 2032.

That’s not some date way down the line that we can all assume will be figured out by then. That’s just six years away. The time to figure it out is now.

Without action from Congress, only 78% of scheduled retirement benefits would be payable then. And so I believe we have a choice about how to respond.

We could cut benefits and ask retirees, people with disabilities, and working families to bear the burden.

OR we could ask Americans earning the highest-incomes to contribute their fair share to Social Security.

Surprised that’s not how it already works? Well, it’s true. Let me explain:

Today, workers pay a 6.2% Social Security tax on their wages up to $184,500. Once you earn more than that, you stop paying the Social Security tax on your wages for the rest of the year.

So a teacher earning $60,000 pays Social Security taxes on every dollar she earns. A worker earning $184,500 does, too. But someone earning $1 million pays the tax on just the first $184,500.

That’s right, the country’s billionaires pay into Social Security as if they make just $184,500.

That doesn’t make sense.

According to one estimate, if we eliminated this cap on Social Security taxes, we could inject around $3 TRILLION into the program over the next 10 years.

So that’s why I’ve proposed a bipartisan plan to lift the cap on Social Security taxes and make the wealthiest Americans pay Social Security taxes on more of their wages. This would strengthen the program without cutting the benefits millions of Americans have earned.

I need to show my colleagues in Congress that working people want us to protect the Social Security they’ve spent their lives paying into — not balance the books on their backs.

So, Danielle, will you add your name if you agree with my plan to protect Social Security for this generation and the next by asking the wealthiest Americans to contribute their fair share?

ADD YOUR NAME

Thanks for being a part of this,

Elizabeth

Quick update on our latest investigation into “Freedom 250”

How will the White House explain this mysterious Freedom 250 fund?
͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌

Danielle, I want to give you an update on our latest investigation into Trump’s corruption.

First: Have you heard of Trump’s Freedom 250 fund? Back in 2025, Trump said he set up this fund to raise money for America’s centennial celebrations. At least that’s what he said publicly.

Here’s the odd thing: There was already a fund set aside for America’s centennial. It’s called America 250. Approved by Congress in 2016, the fund was allocated $150 million. That should be plenty for a birthday party, no?

Another odd thing: Freedom 250 got millions of dollars of taxpayer money — money that was supposed to go to America 250, but got funneled to Freedom 250 instead.

So it begs the question: Did Trump use America’s centennial as a convenient cover to set up a slush fund?

I just launched an investigation to find out, expose any corruption, and hold Trump accountable. Add your name if you’re with me, Danielle: The American people are demanding answers on this, and we’re not going to ignore this.

ADD YOUR NAME

Freedom 250’s finances are not publicly disclosed. They’re hidden. So we’re left wondering if this is just another vehicle to divert taxpayer dollars into a personal slush fund. And which billionaire, corporation, or foreign interest is buying Trump’s favor by secretly donating to Freedom 250?

Freedom 250 doesn’t disclose donors, but here’s what we know about one of its donors (spoiler alert: it’s a huge defense contractor):

  • January: Trump threatens to cut Pentagon contracts with Raytheon, part of RTX Corporation.
  • May: RTX Corporation donates $1.5 million to Freedom 250.
  • June and July: Raytheon wins nearly $3 billion in Navy contracts.

This smells like corruption to me.

We know that Trump loves money — your money, billionaires’ money, foreign money. And he loves hoarding and spending it in secret. But that’s NOT how government is supposed to work — and I’m staying on this.

I’ve called for a full accounting of Freedom 250’s donors and spending by September 27th. If you’re as outraged as I am on this, add your name to demonstrate that the people are paying attention — and we demand answers.

Thanks for being a part of this,

Elizabeth

Three reasons

͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌

Danielle, Did you see the news that Trump's super PAC announced they're spending at least $49 million on ads in key battleground races — in Michigan, Ohio, New Hampshire, and more?

We knew September and October would be when campaign spending really ramped up, and now we're seeing exactly what we're up against — or just the start of it.

If Democrats are going to hold the line and actually win back power in November, we need to match that firepower right now: I’m asking if you can please pitch in to support our campaign so I can keep fighting for working families in the Senate.

I want to share three reasons why your support is so critical right now:

1. Our campaign has contributed over $1 million to state parties and committees on the front lines of these midterms. That money is hiring organizers, training canvassers, and contacting voters in competitive races across the country. But we need to do more in the final stretch — and we can't do it without grassroots support.

2. I've endorsed fighters like Abdul El-Sayed, Angie Nixon, and Troy Jackson in their races — and I’ve been on the road to rally voters in Michigan, Maine, North Carolina, and Georgia. With the support of this team, we'll do everything we can to win these important, competitive races in November.

3. At the same time, I’m keeping up the fight for the policies America desperately needs. A wealth tax. Universal child care. Banning stock trading by members of Congress. These aren't fringe ideas — they're the backbone of a government that actually works for working people, not billionaires and corporations. And we can actually get this done with a strong Democratic majority.

Democrats can win this. But not if we get outspent. Not if we let Trump and his mega-donors have the field to themselves. If you’re able, will you please pitch in $100 or anything you can to help support this movement and guarantee Democrats beat MAGA Republicans in the midterms?

This is our chance to put a real check on Trump's power before 2028. If we win back the House and Senate, we stop the worst of his agenda. We block his extreme judges. We hold him accountable. And we can use our power to pass plans that will actually support working people.

But we have to act now. September and October are make-or-break months. I'm taking this fight seriously. I hope you'll join me.

Thanks for being a part of this,

Elizabeth

I am calling for an immediate pause in advanced AI development:

͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌

Danielle, I want to be very clear about the conversations surrounding AI right now.

Before I get into explanation mode, let me just start at the top: I am calling for an immediate pause in advanced AI development.

It’s clear that frontier AI models are a dangerous technology without the safeguards needed to protect people from serious harm.

But the recent calls by AI industry leaders to “pace the frontier” are insufficient. And their suggestions that we must weaken antitrust protections in order to confront the AI threat are transparently self-serving.

The future of this technology should be determined by the American people through their democratically elected representatives in government — not by a handful of CEOs and billionaire corporations.

So I’m calling for this pause while lawmakers and regulators create systems to keep people safe, and for Congress to urgently pass legislation to put stronger guardrails in place before we have a cyberattack, economic crisis, or national security disaster facilitated by AI.

Add your name if you’re with me: Now is the moment to demand that Congress steps up to regulate AI and protect people.

ADD YOUR NAME

Before these recent warnings, tech executives were warning that AI could lead to “a level of wealth concentration that will break society” and create a "permanent underclass."

Their words.

This technology has created dozens of tech billionaires while companies lay off workers in the name of AI. And data centers are jacking up electricity bills for nearby families — costs have skyrocketed by as much as 267% over the past five years.

I’ve been advocating for Congress to do something about these threats. I proposed legislation that would tax these AI companies to give us resources to invest in things like free college and apprenticeship programs, a jobs guarantee, and universal health care so we can avoid this "permanent underclass” they’re promising.

I’ve demanded that AI companies take ownership of the enormous energy costs their data centers are causing.

The recent warnings have made it abundantly clear: The time for the government to act on AI was yesterday. So I’ve called for this immediate pause on advanced AI development.

If we had a competent President who didn’t curry favor with corporate interests at every turn, the U.S. would lead the world in setting the rules of AI and make sure the safety of humanity is the top priority, not the profits of a handful of multi-billion-dollar companies.

We can’t just accept this as our reality, and we can’t trust AI executives alone to regulate themselves. It’s time for the government to intervene to keep people safe.

Let’s make this loud and clear: the people are demanding an immediate pause in AI development — and it’s on Congress to act. Add your name to show your support.

Thanks for being a part of this,

Elizabeth

Trump just dumped nearly $15 million into Michigan

͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌

Danielle,

If you're already fired up about Abdul El-Sayed's campaign in Michigan and know you're ready to make a donation to take back the Senate: Split a $100 donation — or whatever you can — between Abdul's campaign and this grassroots movement today.

Because here's what we're up against:

Trump's super PAC dumped nearly $15 million into Michigan to prop up GOP Senate candidate Mike Rogers.

That's not a typo. Nearly Fifteen. Million. Dollars.

And it's just the beginning. Trump's main super PAC has over $400 million in its war chest, and they're making clear that Michigan is one of their top targets this fall.

They think they can buy this seat, Danielle.

But we’ve already proven that a grassroots movement can stand up to that kind of money. The many can beat the money.

That's why I'm asking: Will you split a donation today between Abdul's campaign and our grassroots movement? Every dollar helps organize voters, reach undecided Michiganders, and fight back against the flood of Republican spending. Abdul's campaign needs those resources right now.

If you've saved payment info with ActBlue Express, your donation will process automatically:

Abdul has spent his career fighting for working people. He's never taken corporate PAC money, and he never will. He is running to bring a different kind of leadership to Washington: fighting for Medicare for All, taking on big money in politics, and making sure working people have more money in their pockets.

Mike Rogers? He ran unopposed in the primary with Trump's backing and tens of millions in outside spending. Now Republicans are flooding this race because they know what's at stake: Michigan could decide who controls the Senate.

If Republicans win, they move one step closer to a Senate majority that will rubber-stamp Trump's agenda. If we hold Michigan, we protect our path to a Democratic majority.

That's why we need to do everything we can to get Abdul to the Senate. Split a donation today between Abdul's campaign and our grassroots movement.

Thanks for being a part of this,

Elizabeth

As the war goes on, Trump only gets richer

A simple rule: No stock trading for people in power
͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌

Danielle, Trump's war in Iran has dragged on for more than six months.

Thousands of people have been killed. Families have spent months fearing for their loved ones. And the consequences of this unnecessary war will be felt for years, even generations.

And while all of that is happening, Donald Trump’s oil stocks are going up.

That’s not just disturbing, Danielle. It’s a blatant conflict of interest.

And it's exactly why people elected to power should not be allowed to trade individual stocks. Their decisions can affect the value of the companies they own, and the American people should not have to wonder whether a politician is making a decision for the country or for their own bottom line.

I’ll break down how Trump is profiting off his own war below. And if you agree we need to ban this type of corruption, add your name to support my plan to ban presidents, vice presidents, and members of Congress from trading individual stocks.

ADD YOUR NAME

According to a new analysis, Trump’s nine largest oil and gas holdings gained an estimated $1.5 million to $4.4 million between the start of the war and the end of August. His accounts also reported at least 23 sales involving those companies during the first months of the war.

Meanwhile, Americans have been paying more and more at the pump.

Trump’s defenders say outside managers make the trades. But even if someone else is pushing the buttons, Trump still owns those stocks — and benefits when they go up.

Let me be clear: This isn’t just about Trump.

Members of Congress and their spouses have traded hundreds of millions of dollars in stocks and other investments, all while having access to information about legislation, government contracts, regulations, and other decisions that can move markets.

That’s why I’m fighting to close the door on these conflicts once and for all.

I’ve introduced bipartisan legislation to ban the president, vice president, and members of Congress from owning and trading individual stocks while they’re in office.

Add your name if you agree that no elected official should be able to use their position to profit from the stock market.

Working people deserve to know that when politicians make decisions that affect the economy, they’re doing it for the public and not their portfolios.

Thanks for being a part of this,

Elizabeth
