Donald Trump's hand-picked Supreme Court took a sledgehammer to one of the most important civil rights laws in American history.

Donald Trump's hand-picked Supreme Court took a sledgehammer to one of the most important civil rights laws in American history.

They gutted the Voting Rights Act — allowing states to redraw maps that slice up diverse districts.

For instance: After their decision, Tennessee Republicans wasted no time in redistricting their House map to slice Memphis into three different districts.

Louisiana Republicans just advanced a map that eliminates a Democratic district.

And they lifted a mandate for Alabama to use a map with two majority-Black districts.

Let’s be clear about what this means: They're blatantly trying to silence Black voters to try and hold onto power.

We must fight back using every lever we’ve got. So I’m calling on Congress to step up and pass federal voting rights protections. I’m donating resources to states with races in 2026 so Democrats can win back our majorities. And I’m fighting for Supreme Court reform so we can root corruption out of the judiciary and expand the court.

But we’ve also got to make sure that state parties have the resources they need to fight back and defend disenfranchised voters.

So I’m asking you to make a split contribution to state parties in Alabama, Tennessee, Louisiana, and South Carolina. These are states that are fighting the immediate repercussions of this ruling — and who could use strong support right now.
