We wouldn't ask if it weren't important

Our movement is powered by people all across this country who are pitching in to help elect more Democrats like Elizabeth up and down the ballot.
Warren Democrats

Danielle,

We're pacing a little behind where we need to be to hit our goal before Monday's grassroots fundraising deadline.

We wouldn't ask if it weren't important: Can you make one of the few donations we need from California to get back on track?

Warren Democrats wouldn't exist without grassroots donors.

Our movement is powered by people all across this country who are pitching in to help elect more Democrats like Elizabeth up and down the ballot.

We have ambitious grassroots organizing plans for important state and local elections this year — and the huge fight for the U.S. House and Senate.

Early investments make the biggest difference. With power in Washington hanging in the balance, we don't have time to wait.

Make a contribution of $15 or anything you can right now to support Elizabeth and other progressive Democrats running on big, structural change — Monday is the final day to hit our grassroots fundraising goal.

Thanks for everything,

Team Warren

Justice Breyer

Republicans are trying to entrench themselves in power, and it is powerfully important we don't allow that to happen.
Warren Democrats

Danielle,

I can think of about 9,000 reasons why Democrats need to hold onto — and grow — our majority in the U.S. Senate.

But we just got a reminder of a really, really, really big one: the Supreme Court. With Justice Breyer retiring, President Biden only knows he'll have his nominee considered because Democrats took back the Senate in 2020 and 2021.

We've also got to protect and expand our House majority. This week, our grassroots movement endorsed three terrific congressional candidates who are fighting to put power in the hands of the people: Rep. Andy Levin in Michigan, Greg Casar in Texas, and Rep. Lucy McBath in Georgia.

I'm going to do everything I can to support Democrats across the country in 2022 and beyond. But we're up against our first monthly fundraising deadline of the year, and whether or not we hit our goal will help set our outreach and organizing plans for this election.

Danielle, if it makes sense for you right now, can you pitch in $15 before Monday's end-of-month deadline? Your donation would help support our re-election campaign, elect more Warren Democrats, and grow our grassroots movement.

Together, we need to get more Democrats in Washington so we can make more big, structural change — like rebalancing the Supreme Court by expanding it. President Biden has committed to naming the first Black woman to the Supreme Court. I agree that it's long past time to make that history, and she should get to serve alongside at least four other new justices too.

And we must elect fighters for working people up and down the ticket — in state and local positions that have so much power over so many issues that touch people's lives.

We know what's at stake. We know what lies ahead of us. And if we work together, we can win together.

Please make a donation if you can to help hit our goal by Monday's end-of-month grassroots fundraising deadline — and help power this fight.

Thanks for being a part of this,

Elizabeth

Restaurant Revitalization Fund

Restaurants are in trouble right now. They've gotten creative and worked so hard, but struggled to keep their doors open. So the American Rescue Plan included relief money for restaurants, bars, and food trucks. But it just wasn't enough, and it's already gone.
Warren Democrats

Danielle,

Restaurants are in trouble right now.

They've faced hurdle after hurdle. A pandemic. New variants. Cold weather making it harder to eat outside. They've gotten creative and worked so hard, but struggled to keep their doors open. So the American Rescue Plan included relief money for restaurants, bars, and food trucks. But it just wasn't enough, and it's already gone.

That's why I'm co-sponsoring a bill to refill the Restaurant Revitalization Fund, giving aid to the small restaurants and businesses that need it most. The Senate needs to take this up and get it done right away — restaurants are hanging by their fingernails and need relief now.

Will you fight by my side on this one? Add your name to support the Restaurant Revitalization Fund Replenishment Act.

Danielle, there is nothing that is not made better by a good meal. After long days and weeks of fighting to establish the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, I'd catch up with Bruce at a restaurant where we always sat at the same booth and the owner knew our order by heart.

And a great restaurant can make good times even more delicious. The first time Bruce came to Houston to meet my family, I picked him up at the airport and drove him directly to my favorite Tex-Mex place. I ordered him a huge lunch, and he wolfed down every bite. At the end, he said he loved it. Right then, I knew this was a guy I could live with forever. And I've remembered that first meal there together every time we've gone back to visit.

Local, independent restaurants are a part of the fabric of our communities. That's why we need to fight for them, Danielle.

As we fight for replenishing the Restaurant Revitalization Fund, it should be our priority to make the fund simple and accessible. An expert chef shouldn't have to become an expert in federal law to get relief. And let's ensure those who didn't get anything in the first go-around are taken care of this time.

It's time to bang the drums on this — or take out a big spoon and hit the pot. I'm asking you to join me in supporting this bill to help make sure our communities can thrive and we can all enjoy more good meals at our favorite restaurants for years to come.

Danielle, sign your name here to become an official grassroots co-sponsor of the bill to replenish the Restaurant Revitalization Fund, and help fight to keep our local economies strong.

Thanks for being a part of this,

Elizabeth

P.S. Restaurants need our help now more than ever to survive the harsh realities of a pandemic winter. If you can, please consider supporting small and independently owned restaurants in your area and giving them positive reviews!

The future of the Supreme Court

Republicans are trying to entrench themselves in power, and it is powerfully important we don't allow that to happen.
Warren Democrats

Danielle,

Twelve years ago yesterday, the Supreme Court hung a big "For Sale" sign on our democracy.

Their disastrous ruling in Citizens United opened the floodgates to unlimited campaign cash from wealthy donors and corporations. It put power in the hands of big money spenders while taking it out of yours.

And since then, the Supreme Court has been shoved even further to the far right.

Which brings me to today's anniversary. Forty-nine years ago, the Court's ruling in Roe v. Wade affirmed the right to an abortion. For nearly a half-century, Roe — despite attack after attack and attack from the right — has remained the law of the land.

But the Court's new conservative supermajority is now on the verge of overturning this landmark protection. Along with Citizens United, and the gutting of the Voting Rights Act, we've seen the damage the Court can do. We've seen how it's been hijacked by the far right. And we see how we need to fight back.

I'm going to keep fighting to rebalance the Court by adding at least four new justices. But to get it done, we must elect more progressive Democrats who agree with our vision.

Can you chip in $15 to support our re-election campaign and help get more progressive Democrats elected who believe in restoring balance, integrity, and independence to the extremist Court? Every donation helps change how our government works and who it works for.

I'll just be blunt, Danielle: It's hypocrisy, pure and simple, for Mitch McConnell and his cast of Senate Republicans to cry foul about Court reform.

I had a front-row seat when Mitch and his Republican majority refused to recognize Merrick Garland's nomination for nearly a full year while they waited out President Obama's second term, only to watch them scurry to confirm Amy Coney Barrett in the final days of Donald Trump's presidency and their party's majority just a few years later.

Let's face it: Republicans have been playing fast and loose with the rules of engagement for some time now, Danielle, and particularly when it comes to our judicial system. They're trying to entrench themselves in power in every branch and at every level of our government, and it is powerfully important we don't allow that to happen.

As always, I'm ready to fight back — but I can't do it alone. It's going to take us working together, building this grassroots coalition and electing more progressive Democrats who understand the urgency of this moment.

If you can, please make a $15 donation to support our campaign and the big, structural change our country needs.

Thanks for being a part of this,

Elizabeth

After a tough loss

Democrats put voting rights legislation on the floor of the United States Senate. And when all 50 Republican senators lined up against it, we tried to block their filibuster.
Warren Democrats

Wednesday night was a tough loss, Danielle.

Democrats put voting rights legislation on the floor of the United States Senate. And when all 50 Republican senators lined up against it, we tried to block their filibuster. Then we came up short, by two votes.

But I'm not giving up. The stakes are too high. And here's the way I see it:

  • Every single Republican senator is now on the record opposing widely popular legislation to protect free and fair elections. So we will make sure everyone knows what they just did. They will need to defend those votes.
  • We had 48 Democratic votes to get around the filibuster, so we know exactly how to win down the road: elect two more Democratic senators who support filibuster reform.

In the days, weeks, and months ahead, I will keep pushing in every way I can to protect the right to vote and the right to have that vote counted.

We didn't want to be here. We wanted to have the Freedom to Vote Act and John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act already in the bag. But this is the fight that's in front of us, and this is the uphill path we can take to protect our democracy. Me? I'm going up that hill.

Tomorrow, and the next day, and the day after that, we get right back up and get right back in the fight to defend our democracy.

Can you pitch in to support our campaign and help expand our Democratic Senate majority? $15 or any amount you can chip in would make a real difference right now.

We just need to gain two more seats. We're going to do this — together.

Thanks for being a part of this,
