This is not “radical”

Warren for Senate

I’ll cut to the chase: I’m asking if you can please pitch in to support our campaign so I can keep fighting for working families in the Senate.

We’re up against powerful special interests who don’t want to see our plans become a reality.

We keep hearing from pundits and talking heads trying to figure out just what exactly the Democratic Party is all about — suggesting that we need to water down our economic agenda and not be “too progressive” or “too radical” in order to win.

But here’s the reality: The bold, progressive candidates who campaign on a real affordability agenda are winning.

It’s not radical to fight for universal childcare. It’s not radical to reject the money (and the demands) from corporate PACs. It’s not radical to call for a wealth tax. It’s not radical to campaign for Medicare for All. It’s not radical to make housing affordable. In fact, these things are the reason why we have government in the first place — to make life better for the people we serve.

So I’m done hearing that Democrats need to tone down on our ambitions in order to win elections. That doesn’t make any sense.

The path forward for the Democratic party is clear: We win when we fight like hell for working people. When we champion bold ideas even if billionaires don’t like them. When we aspire to govern in ways that may not have been tried before, rather than settle with “that’s never going to happen.” When we actually stand up to the extremism of Donald Trump’s administration.

I’m relying on your support to help show how many people DO believe in the “radical” plans that we’re fighting for. And, your donation will help ensure we can advocate and grow momentum for our vision all across the country. So could you please pitch in $100 or anything you can? Thank you.
