Wisconsin Senate race downgraded to “Toss Up”

Danielle, some news out of Wisconsin: Senator Tammy Baldwin's campaign to keep her seat has just been updated from "Lean D" to "Toss Up" by Cook Political Report.

Tammy's opponent — Eric Hovde — is an anti-abortion extremist who supports a national abortion ban. He has said he's "totally opposed to abortion" and committed to passing his anti-abortion agenda at the federal level. His win would enable Republicans to do this.

The GOP is poised to throw everything they have into defeating Tammy and flipping this seat. During the 2022 midterms, Republicans spent a record $77 million to defend Ron Johnson, and they won that Senate race by just 1%.
