This is not an optional part of the American government

I’m fighting to apply the law against an egomaniacal president who wants to be King

Danielle, as much as Trump wants to troll around and act like a monarch, he is not a king. And he will never be a king. Never. America doesn’t have them.

Trump and King Charles. A tweet that says Two Kings

How old were we all when we learned about the three branches of government? Checks and balances? The separation of powers? These aren't just classroom ideas — and they’re not just optional parts of the American government.

This is the law. I’m fighting to apply it against an egomaniacal president who wants to be King — and I’m fighting to take back our majorities so we can put a strong check on this administration.

The midterms are coming, and right now is when this fight is won or lost. Can you chip in $100 or anything you can to help fight for an America that works for working people — not wannabe kings?

Look, this trolling is all an intentional distraction tactic. They know exactly what they’re doing. They're saying absurd things to pull our attention away from the real damage being done. It’s boring, but it's also dangerous.

Trump has stripped health care from millions. He's starting wars. He's letting ICE detain children. He's driving up the cost of groceries and housing. He launched an illegal mid-decade redistricting scheme to lock in power. He’s breaking the law, and the Republicans in Congress who have the power to put a stop to this are just bending the knee to Donald Trump.

They want to overwhelm us — to rig the economy, gut our government, and grind people down until they feel too exhausted to fight back.

But America was built by people who stood up to a king. We can do it again.

This team is fighting. We’ve identified 23 real pickup opportunities for Democrats to win in 2026 and donated over $400,000 from my campaign account directly to those state parties — hiring organizers, opening offices, reaching voters.

I've been on the road in battleground states like Maine, mobilizing voters about these critical elections.

When Trump and his billionaire allies have tried to rig the system for themselves, we have called out the corruption and proposed plans to rein them in.

None of it is possible without you, Danielle, and what we do in the next six months will be critical.

Right now, a clear majority of Americans disapprove of what Trump is doing — the only president less popular than Donald Trump? Donald Trump during his first first term.

The Republicans' House majority came down to fewer than 7,000 votes — that's not a mandate.

This year, we have the chance to speak up and loudly reject Republicans in Congress and Trump in the midterm elections. We have the chance to ensure Democrats not only take back the House and Senate, but that we use our majorities to make aggressive, transformational changes in our country that benefit working people — even if billionaires and corporations disagree.

And that’s a chance we can’t afford to waste with half-measures and nibbling around the edges. We have to be relentless in our fight and in our hope for a better future.

Every dollar raised this month goes toward stopping the far-right and billionaire agenda that harms so many people — and toward ensuring Democrats win the midterms. So I'm asking you right now: Will you chip in $100 — or anything you can — to power this critical work?

Thanks for being a part of this,

Elizabeth
